even though the use of wool/knitting this year was completely overused it was still a stand out piece from this stand.

Next to LOCAL we found MIND CRAFT or DANISH CRAFTS take your pick....

it was an interesting exhibition based around the process of craft meets function...

Also a selection of the pieces were within a pop up @ Spazio Rosanna Orlandi.

Rho Fiera: Salone is full of halls & halls of lifestyle pieces....yet its actually quite hard to find stand out pieces... as after a while it all looks the same.

The mix of monochromatic with timber, undulating down the legs is just stunning...

I absolutely loved this collection! it's so great to see other industrial designers working on a collection basis as appose to just one off pieces....

I think it adds great strength to the overall idea & concept, why stop with one pieces when you have an amazing idea....

I saw her at her Spazio & at the Elle Deco 20th Anniversary party @ Linate Aiport, she is not the most approachable person but I thought why not... I went up to her to see if we could get a few words on camera, she was like no no, and screamed with laughter and ran off and I screamed with laughter back at her and chased her into the crowed....hilarioussssssss.

I was so excited when I received an inviation to the opening of BRIX during Salone in Brera, as Andrea Putman was showing her work with a selection of architects, I thought this would be amazing to get my mega design idol on camera, but unfortunately her daughter has now taken over the company & neither were in attendance we interviewed one of her very good friends who told us unfortunately she is not attending many more design events at her age......I am going to attend events until i die i said hehehe...

Salone over for another year....

So I have returned finally after the Volcano incident to start going through all the little bits & pieces I collected along the way during Salone.

2010 was a hard year for the Salone fighting financial struggle, a volcano, constant repetition of designs and there were a lot of over trends...pieces that looked the same as their neighbours or pieces we had seen many times before. The key trend though was 3D technology, I think we will see big changes on how we portray our designs to clients/the public before construction.

So due to the Volcano may stay was extended in Milan,

so trailing the streets I stumbled upon this window.....

SALONE pushes a strong point....

This year @ Salone there was an air of frustration amongst the design community....sick of the big manufacturing companies dominating the world....global financial strain.... wishing to prove some serious points...and a couple of slaps in the face....

DROOG instead of presenting designs they created a shop with 14 designers pieces that if not sold at this store would of gone into liquidation.

Maarten Baas, who usually puts on quite the show during Salone: published as exhibiting yet was just selling an Iphone App...

Tom Dixon's exhibition "Industry" showcased his fellow employees/desigers constructing the pieces FOR SALE this year within the stand... he pushed his point view on
