PETER MARINO...RETAIL DESIGN PIONEER

The opening of the newly renovated Louis Vuitton store happened yesterday in London....
There is also a VIP apartment & Library added onto the store.....yet in my opinion I think Peter should stick to retail as it didn't really strike any cords with me... but to judge for yourself check out the full gallery of images on www.wallpaper.com

ELLE DECORATION SUITE by Jean-Paul Gaultier
WOW is all I can say.....JP has collaborated with French furniture company ROCHE BOBOIS, inspired by the motifs found in his clothes.... it is out of control and super super fabulous, I just want to jump on a plane & head to paris to see it in the flesh....imagine DESIGN VLOGGING it....
DESIGN IS THE NEW ART...
I nearly fell of my chair when I found these side tables, 10,000 euro each in the Herve van der Straeten exhibition No.395......amazing design/art auction house....you have to check out the other pieces in the auction its seriously outstanding I even think it beats Galerie Kreo...www.pba-auctions.com

The biggest "trend" (even though I hate that word) for this year is a wave of "design craft".......
During financial strife designers are looking to use inexpensive/recycled
materials to produce new works.....

I think I am going to hope on the design craft band wagon over the next month.....

SYDNEY BIENNALE OPENING PARTY @ COCKATOO ISLAND
The 17th Biennale of Sydney opened Wednesday night.....possibly the best Sydney event I have been too thus far.....so so so fun & fabulous f2.
I could not stop staring up at the amazing light installation....
& so many interesting foreign artist to speak too....
The Biennale is on for 3 months so plenty of time to absorb it.
